Been there for the first time. Super friendly and you feel very welcome. A great location, especially on the terrace with the wonderful view of the Rhine. And to top it all off, the food was good too. Today only a small card, but good. We threaten our return

Sterrenberg and Liebenstein Castle! The hostile brothers on the Middle Rhine. High up with a great view of the Rhine Valley towards Boppard / Bad Salzig. Steffenberg Castle is located on the left bank of the Rhine, and Liebenstein Castle is next to it. A small castle that does not cost any entry. Have a coffee and enjoy the view! You can get almost to the castle by car if you don't want to hike.

Here you could do more events or rock concerts (after Corona).

Made very lovingly. Gigantic view of the Rhine. Stylish. Although it was closed (construction / renovation), we got a coffee. Very nice owner. Certainly highly recommended when reopened.

We visited the artisan market there today. We came by bike. No problem on the normal road. You just have to step in properly. In the restaurant there was delicious wine and food. We still have to explore the castle itself; next time...

We were at the castle yesterday, downstairs it says a warm welcome, as we arrived at the top, everything is closed. With us (2 people) there were 7 others who were standing in front of the closed location. So there is moaning, no income, and there is This place is closed at lunchtime. After all, it's holiday season, it was very disappointing for us. It would also be nice to put up a board with the opening times.

Yes we were there and yes; that was really good. This location is geared towards family celebrations and is ideal not only for the great view. We really liked the ambience and the creative decoration. Corona conditionally served the guests personally. Here you have the feeling that both live for this gastronomy and stand up for it emotionally. No operator who takes the order in no time and that's it. A real conversation is sometimes held here and you have the feeling that you are personally a guest of the owners. I ordered an Angus beef burger, although so far I have always believed that a burger cannot be a wholesome meal and at this price it has to be a letdown. That was a mistake on my part; everything fit here and was super delicious. Baked goods, side dishes, dressings and the salad were lovingly arranged and well worth their price. Many thanks for a pleasant stay.

An unusual visit to the Sterrenberg: It all started when we were assigned our reserved seats by the waiter. After we had taken a seat, his colleague quickly pointed out that we had incorrectly occupied a table. (which we probably got wrongly assigned ...) The waitress did not have the best day, which we felt several times during our stay. When ordering the food, we ordered chips for the children. "There were no fries. Like if there wasn't even a deep fryer," we heard. When we made our reservation, we specifically asked whether there were chips for children, which was answered in the affirmative! We waited a long time for our food. After all, the children got their french fries alternatives first. The quality of the dishes was not appropriate for the higher prices. The Angus cattle burger was brimming with only from finished ingredients (bought, finished patty, canned goods as toppings, etc.), the currywurst could have been from the fast food and the salad was served with a standard dressing, which was probably also bought ready. After all, we got a (supposed) discount when paying because of the long waiting time, which apparently was due to a kitchen accident by the cook. However, if you charge the wrong salad, which is three euros more expensive than the one that was served, you can also give two or three euros off ... Our conclusion: we will definitely not stop here !!!

Very tasty, fresh food, excellent view. The castle has a great atmosphere and the owners were very friendly, we were personally looked after by the boss. The decor is very tasteful, it gives the castle something special. The castle is definitely worth a visit

Great place to view the river and get some lunch. Waiter was very professional during the pandemic times. Masks were required, strickly 1 person in the building for restrooms. Love to go back.

The very idea of ​​eating where the knights of the enemy brothers ate a few hundred years ago is moving. Then you also get perfect service and tasty dishes. As if that weren't enough, you also sit high above the Rhine and have an incredibly good view from the knight's hall, from the seats outside on the castle wall or very high up on the keep. What impressed me was that the kitchen was very small, but the dishes were very large. We are happy to recommend the "Sterrenberg Castle" to our guests and are very happy to go back again and again.
